According to the sleeve notes this is Carlene Davis’ “Debut Album Release” – sleevenotes credited to “Sydney Crooks” :
– Carlene Davis born in Jamaica, lived and went to school in England. Now residing in Canada. Must be one of the darling singing sensation in reggae music as she is shown here on this, as her debut album release”.
Just listen to the way she beautifies some of our favorite oldies from way back to the 50’s. Remember “Come to me softly”, the old Jimmy James’ song, hear how Carlene expresses this all time favorite of yours and who can forget the old Larry Aitkins number “I remember”. Wouldn’t you say that she really lifts your morale the way she expresses this one with perfection ?
Now you must be convinced when Carlene brings us right back in time with her beautifully rendered version of the classical “Brown eyes blue”.
I could go on referring expaining and relating but I leave you to do the rest. Tell me, wasn’t she the sweet sensation with that strange emotion to give you back that love and emotion.

A1. Brown Eyes Blue
A2. Come To Me Softly
A3. You Are The One I Need
A4. When I Call Your Name
B1. I Remember
B2. Strange Things
B3. Money Can’t Buy Life
B4. Don’t Stay Away
